Unique Blogger Award 2016

Exactly one month ago (!) the lovely author of the TheCrazyKrazyLifeofKass, nominated the Loewe Legacy for yet another award! I feel so incredible honored to be thought of as ‘Unique’.

Lizzie is so inspiring, dedicated and simply AMAZING SimLit writer. She has created a very compact, realistic world full of wonderful characters. Lizzie’s sense for detail is breathtaking – she’s created a map of her Sim World, wrote about its history as well as politics, religion, wars that preceded the present day in her main story, and of course she couldn’t leave out the social aspect of everyday lives of her characters – she converts the names of real-life personas, places, social media etc. into their ‘simified’ versions.  She’s also not afraid to delve into various taboos… Well, I have no idea how this girl does it, but she does it so freakin’ well! If you guys don’t know her, you should definitely check her stories out!

The rules for the Unique Blogger Award:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate  8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them 3 questions.

1. What is your favorite Sims game moment of all time?

Hmm… I think it was back in The Sims 2 when I saw Bella Goth randomly pass by my Sims’ home. Given the mystery surrounding her character, I must admit it was really an epic moment!

2. How would you describe your writing style and process?

Usually, I plan in advance, take screenshots I need and then write the story, however it’s not always the case. I’ve already written an episode which will take place somewhere in the 8th generation of The Loewe Legacy. Let’s hope I can get there!

3. Who or what inspires/motivates you to write SimLit or write in general? (okay, that might be a two-part question… *grins sheepishly*)

I’ve never written anything longer than a dozen pages before I began playing and writing about The Loewe Legacy. I remember when I was around 17 years old, I had a dream about this girl that gets murdered at a playground one rainy night… I woke up and started writing everything down, I believe I’ve written the plot for a mystery/drama story in less than an hour, which however I’ve never finished… So I could say it was a dream that inspired me that time.

As for my legacy story, I tend to plan most of the things in advance, but sometimes my Sims or the game itself surprise me with something unexpected and I decide to tweak the plot around that. Also, reading other SimLit stories, books and articles, watching movies or playing other games fills my imagination with great ideas. Mostly, the inspiration flow comes to me at bedtime and sometimes I’m just too afraid I won’t remember anything in the morning so I get up from the bed, turn on my laptop and write everything down… What motivates me is probably the challenge itself and of course, my lovely readers ❤

  1. What do you think makes your story different from the rest, what is it that makes it unique?

  3. Who of your Sims you’ve ever created is your absolute favorite and why?

Have a wonderful day,

  1. You are too sweet! I am honored by your shoutout at the beginning. *blushes* Thanks a million! Great answers! I can relate to the never-finishing-story thing. That happens to me often because I’m a perfectionist. I’d encourage you (and myself) to keep writing those stories anyway. 🙂

    • That’s the least I could do! You’re so welcome! 🙂

Kass’s story is one of my absolute favorites and your extremely well written chapters always inspire me and motivate me to improve my English.

I don’t know how many years it’s gonna take, but I believe I will eventually play through all ten generations and finish this legacy. After all, I have promised it to all of you 😉

    • Thank you so much! You’re too kind to me, Shannon!

When I first started this blog I haven’t imagined that one day someone would write such wonderful words about my story. It’s readers like you who keep the Loewe Legacy alive. Thank you so much for the motivation 🙂
